So, you've found my blog and maybe you've figured out that it is going to be about me having a different cocktail every day in 2012. The same 2012 that is a leap year with 366 days. Why am I doing this? I want to expand my horizons and learn a new skill. Plus, I really love cocktails. But the more important question is, why should you care? Well, I'm guessing that you are probably like me when it comes to cocktails. You like one every once in a while and you have a few stock favorites that you turn to time and again. If you are like me, you usually stick with vodka or some other clear liquor, and some juice or pop.
BORING! There are literally thousands of cocktails out there and life is too short to limit yourself to just a few. This blog will record my little experiment of making and drinking a cocktail every day for a year. I will be trying brown liquors, yellow liquors and liquors I can't even pronounce, let alone ever heard of. I'll be downing drinks with weird names, drinks with dirty names, drinks that have something to do with the day I am drinking it, and drinks that I will probably never drink again. By following me, you can let me do all the hard work of shopping, mixing and drinking, while you gain the same "real world" knowledge that I do. Did I like it? Would I recommend it? Was it a pain to make? Was it expensive to make? Follow me to find out.
I promise in return that I will update this page every day with a cocktail recipe, a cocktail picture and a review from your friend, Cocktail Connie. I've been paid for my opinion before (I reviewed bands and restaurants), so it must count for something. I encourge your comments and questions, and hope that you will join me for a cocktail some of the days. Most of all, let's have fun! See you on Jan. 1, 2012!
An average woman expands her horizons by making and drinking a different cocktail every day in 2012 - a leap year no less. Daily posts include cocktail recipe, picture and a review by Cocktail Connie.
